Nicotine

Nicotine is a chemical compound (molecule) that can be absorbed into the bloodstream through the mucous membranes of the mouth. The amount of nicotine absorbed from Oliver Twist depends on a number of factors, e.g. the time of use and chewing or not chewing the tobacco pellet.

The longer you keep the tobacco pellet in your mouth, the greater the amount of nicotine that will be released. If you chew the mini-roll at the same time, you will increase the surface area of the tobacco, which increases the release of nicotine in the oral cavity.
